Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I expect on a Sunday morning?
We want to make your first experience at Big Woods Bible Church a great one! On a typical Sunday morning, you'll be welcomed into a friendly environment by people from all ages and walks of life. Feel free to stop by our Coffee Bar ministry for a warm cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Grab a bulletin on your way into the sanctuary to be informed about all the things happening in the church. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in (people wear anything from t-shirt and jeans to coat and tie). You can expect the service to last about an hour and a half from 9:00am to 10:30am, with hymns and modern worship songs (led by a praise band), expository (verse-by-verse) preaching from the Bible, and a safe, fun environment for your kids, no matter how young or old. We have Sunday School after the service at 10:45am, and invite you to stick around to go deeper into studying the Bible while learning alongside others. We can't wait for you to join us!
  • What is available for my family?
At Big Woods, we have lots of opportunities for people of all ages. On Sundays, there is nursery for infants and toddlers during the service and Sunday School hour, Children's Church during the sermon, and Sunday School for all ages (children, youth, and adult). Our middle and high school youth group meets Sunday evenings at the church, and there are other opportunities during the week for students to get involved. We also have opportunities for college students and young adults to get involved outside of the worship service Sunday morning. Men's and Women's ministries have regular ministry opportunities such as weekly and monthly prayer, small groups, and fellowship events. For more information about all of these opportunities and more, check out our Get Connected page!
