A Birthday Party- for Jesus!

It’s time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior at the "Happy Birthday Jesus!" party on Saturday, December 5th from 9:30am till noon. Please register your child/children (ages 4+) on the sign up sheet that is in the Welcome Center or call the church office at 893-8274. Make to sure to invite and register a friend to bring with you. If you are able, please bring a new unwrapped gift to donate to “Mark the Shark’s Toy Drive’. The party includes: singing, making a craft, a story reading and- what birthday party would be complete without it?- a birthday cake! |

We believe the body of Christ must act upon Proverbs 22:6 - "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." We are also empowered by the words of Christ himself when he said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14).
Below is a description of our classes and teachers:

PreSchool
The babies up to age 2
meet in the nursery and are under the supervision of Ellenee Barrett and a number of dedicated volunteers.
The preschoolers (ages 3 to 5)
meet with Joy Weaver in their own room. They have their own song, activity and Bible story time in that room. Joy is assisted by Scott Weaver.
Elementary
Kindergarten thru 5th grade
start out at 9:20AM each Sunday with Marci Beyer for an opening and worship time. They worship in song, have prayer and praise time, hear about the missions project they are collecting for as well as other missionary kids. They then go to class as follows:

Kindergarten and 1st graders
go with Marci Beyer and Rebbeca Ulmer,

2nd and 3rd graders
are taught by Rachel Turner and Rachelle Sheets, and
- 4th and 5th graders are instructed by Marion Conn and Scott Fotorny.
These three classes have lessons based on the
Desiring God (click to learn more)
curriculum and they also include scripture memory work, sharing and praying, skits and all sorts of interesting and important things.

Kingdom of the Son’s Safari
God gave us a beautiful week for VBS! The average daily attendance of 125 kids enjoyed Missionary Time, making Crafts, learning how Jesus taught his closest friends how to pray and singing praises to God!
