Jerry and Hesed Fourroux
College Ministry - Philadelphia, PA
Jerry and Hesed are serving in college ministry in the Philadelphia area on the Temple Ambler and Montgomery County Community College campuses. Hesed is the eldest daughter of Pastor Ted and Linda. The Big Woods family has come to know and love Jerry as well. Please pray amid the changes of a new home and a new baby. Also pray for opportunities to meet new students, continued growth of returning students and the use of their home for hospitality in the new neighborhood.

Situated on 187 acres, the Temple University Ambler Campus is located in the north suburbs of Philadelphia. Originally a horticulture school for women, it has kept its original focus the Landscape Architecture, Community Planning, and Horticulture majors. Temple Ambler is primarily a commuter campus with only about 200 residents in the dorms. Due to the transient nature of the commuter campus, Temple Ambler has had a difficult time building community among the students and having consistent clubs on campus.
In 2004, Jerry stepped onto campus and began to meet students. Soon, a Bible study was being held in the dorms. A year later, the club Jubilee was formed and has continued to serve the campus.
Today, Jerry and Hesed, continue to reach out to students with the Coalition for Christian Outreach (www.ccojubilee.org). Jubilee has a weekly Bible study on campus, and we are active participants on campus with involvement in Earthfest, Welcome Week, the Christmas Program and other events. In the fall and spring, we have an ultimate Frisbee night and we sponsor an annual Worship Concert each year.
Jubilee students have participated in alternative Spring break trips to New Orleans for Katrina relief and have worked with Habitat for Humanity. Each semester, we seek to serve the community by volunteering at local soup kitchens and clothing and food drives for those in need. Our prayer is that Christian students will serve the Lord through their studies, love for their peers and in their future careers. We also strive in introduce unbelievers to the God who loves and created them!
Please pray for us as we meet new students, especially Freshman.
Please pray for Hesed as she balances being a mom with campus ministry.
Pray for Steph and Bob, our student leaders.
Pray for a harvest of young people who will one day be community and world leaders for Christ!
